Is spring here now to stay? After last weekend, everyone is eager to get out and enjoy the weather. Democrats know how to stay on top of things and I was happy to see the spring house cleaning we accomplished on the local level! It’s great to see so many new faces who are eager to make our community a more inclusive place to live, work and raise our families. 2018 is going to be the year! We got here with a lot of hard work. Never before have the Marathon Dems been so inclusive with our candidates. It started with something as simple as stuffing bags with everyone’s literature. When we went out, we not only had our candidate’s literature, we had the school board, the county board, city council, and state supreme court. As you can see, it paid off! Rebecca Dallet won in even the most conservative areas. We have much to do going into fall and it is going to take all of us, please volunteer. You don’t need to make a huge investment of your time, even two hours of one day, choosing something you are good at helps immensely. Join us to ride the Blue Wave!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone in May. We will be holding both the monthly meeting on May 17. Our May monthly meeting has a VERY special surprise guest with news that you are not going to want to miss! It has been so hard keeping this a secret!
We have rescheduled the Spring into Action Banquet for Sunday, May 20. Watch your inbox as details unfold. We are hoping that everyone will still be able to join us. There will be a special room adjoining our dining area for our candidate meet and greet. This is your chance to talk with the candidates of your choice one on one, grab some literature, sign nomination forms, and express concerns. We will have speakers that will update you on important issues! Don’t forget to buy raffle tickets! We have some amazing prizes! If you haven’t signed up for the banquet, here is your chance: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/springintoaction2018
